Incumbent Republican Precinct Committeeman Preston Rea, who is the Township Supervisor, didn’t file a petition to run for Committeemen this election cycle.
It turns out that both he and Republican candidate for State Rep. Steve Reick filed as write-in candidates.
The veteran won, as you can see below:

It’s all about November.
I’d also like to thank the 8,771 voters in McHenry County took the time to mark my name on their ballots for State Representative.
I’m grateful and humbled.
Let’s build on this momentum to “rotate the crop” in Springfield.

It is time to work together and elect Republicans!
It’s refreshing to see a candidate with the tenacity to fight the Madigan machine.
I hope all Republicans get behind Steve Reick and his election to win District 63.
And it’s time, once and for all, to publicly and loudly rebuke any of our fellow republicans who donate money to Steve’s opponent.
Those guilty of it in the past know who they are and should consider themselves on notice that it won’t be tolerated any longer.
It is also time for committeemen to realize that the GOP Party has a platform and it is not a joke as some of the committeemen and elected GOP members of the State House openly state!
If the GOP expects conservative voters to go to the polls they had better adhere to a platform which conforms with State and Federal Constitutions!!
