Allen Skillicorn points to homes in the Fox River Valley undergoing foreclosure proceedings.

About fifteen people attended State Rep. Allen Skillicorn’s Town Hall Meeting at his Crystal Lake office Monday evening.

Homes in foreclosure are shown in blue.

Although advertised to run an hour, it reached the hour and a half mark before I returned home to type articles.

Skillicorn explained his plan to balance the budget without a tax increase.

Audience members asked mainly fiscal questions.

  1. Dear sunshine blogger: please get to the bottom of the conspiracy theory that every person whose house is in foreclosure must be some sort of an antichrist. It perfectly fits the spirit of this sunshine blog. As residents of a forever rural, christian county, we must be very concerned…Tic, tock, tic, tock…

  2. No ‘indivisibles’ demonstrating or interrupting the meeting?

  3. That might be the worst rate for a County in the Country.

Illinois is one of the worst for foreclosure and that number far exceeds the State average.

    Yikes!

  4. And how many homes are for sale ?

How many homes were sold each year in the past five years ?

People and businesses fleeing the state of corruption in ever increasing numbers
and taking their wealth with them.

    Therein lies your real story.

As the Great Exodus From Illinois continues ……

  5. Not surprising given the tax rates to support Angels pet projects.

I’m sure she sends an additional half her public pension or pay to the government to help.

    Tick tick indeed

  6. I believe the image shows Kane County with a larger rate of foreclosure.

  7. Mark – Thank you for the realtytrac.com website. Very interesting as I viewed my portion of McHenry County. Thank you.
