The McHenry County Clerk’s Office has release the almost complete results for the Lakewood Village Trustee contest:
Apparently 37 write-in votes were cast for people other than Paul Serwatka. They were not counted, however, because the people had not registered their intent to be a write-in candidate.
The unofficial totals are now
- Paul Serwatka – 507
- Carl Davis – 326
- Ken Santowski – 320
- Gary Sexson – 213
One way to circumvent vote fixing by machines: Write-ins.
