Hultgren to Host Forum on Unleashing the Power of Small Business
Congressman Hultgren Invites Small Business Owners and Residents in McHenry County
Campton Hills, IL – U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren (IL-14) has announced he will host a forum, “Fighting for Opportunity: Unleashing the Power of Small Business,” on Tuesday, June 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the McHenry County College Shah Center.
The event will bring 14th District small business owners and residents together to discuss the challenges facing small businesses, the policies and solutions that would help them grow and the best ways to bring those ideas back to their employees.

“Small businesses are the engine of the American economy—creating the bulk of American jobs and more than half of our economic output.
“Yet nearly a decade out from the Great Recession, many small businesses in Illinois and across the country continue to struggle and have found it difficult to recover, to add new employees and to grow.
“What’s stopping them from bouncing back? What are the obstacles to greater success?” said Rep. Hultgren.
“When I travel throughout my district, small business owners tell me it is crippling taxes, job-killing regulations and a stifling lack of access to capital.
“The good news is that policymakers have the power to fix this—to help bring small businesses back, to get the economy going again, to provide opportunity for millions of American employees.
“As small businesses go, so goes the American economy. And employees deserve to be educated on how these challenges affect them and their employers.
“The Job Creators Network will give small business owners the tools to help educate their employees about government policies that affect their jobs and company strength, and to encourage involvement in these issues.
“I encourage small business owners, their employees and residents of the 14th District interested in getting our economy back on track to attend this forum.”
Rep. Hultgren recently introduced H.R. 5374, the Bring Small Businesses Back Tax Reform Act, which provides immediate tax relief and reduces administrative burdens for small businesses.
