Crystal Lake Police Search for Missing 5 Year Old Male Child
Over the past 24 hours the Crystal Lake Police Department continued to conduct grid searches in areas of interest. The McHenry County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and the Crystal Lake Park District Police are assisting.
Yesterday’s search for Andrew focused on Lippold Park, 1251 Illinois Route 176, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
Due to inclement weather the search ended early. That search at Lippold Park is expected to continue today until it is completed.
The Illinois State Police will be assisting today, piloting a plane over the area to help guide those searching on the ground.
In addition, sonar teams have been again requested to scan several ponds and smaller bodies of water.
Sonar technicians from fire departments within the mutual aid MABAS Divisions 4 and 5 are expected to assist.
Detectives with the Crystal Lake Police Department have made requests for surveillance video from citizens.
This would include video from home surveillance devices like the Ring Home Security System.
This request is for any video from Monday April 15, 2019 at 7am through April 18 th , 2019 at 9am.
Any member of the community who may have video that could help
investigators are asked to please email those videos or images to jmattson@crystallake.org .
Crystal Lake Police Department, working with our dispatch agency SEECOM (Southeast Emergency Communications), have received several requests through the Freedom of Information Act for the 911 call received reference this case.
Therefore, we are releasing the properly redacted 911 call with this press release today.
The Crystal Lake Police Department encourages anyone with information related to this case to contact the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620. Anyone with a cell phone can send an anonymous tip to the Crystal Lake Police Department by texting the word CLPDTIP along with the tip information to 847411 (tip411). Normal text messaging rates do apply.

The parents live near a major 4 way and maybe those business have something to offer as well.
If they went North on 14 the gas station on 14 and 176 also has video cameras.
Police are now searching Veteran Acres Park as of 10:30 hrs.

-The Northwest corner is an empty parking lot. Next to them is an AT&T Store
-The Northeast corner is Lucky Brake Bicycle shop. Next to them is Andy’s restaurant. They have a parking lot in the back and might have cameras.
-The Southeast corner is a gas Station. Not sure if they are even in business.
-The Southwest corner is Mr A’s Restaurant.
Maybe a Enterprise Rent A car. Next to that is a Amerimecks Mufflers and brakes. Not sure

Heres a thought if they drove down Dole and turned right on Oak street, instead of going all the way to RR14, that would take them to that little store on the corner of Oak and 176.
Right next to that is Gulgrens Appliance.

So if they continued to 176 and 14 there are 2 gas stations.
