McHenry Co. (ECWd) –

This series is wrapped up with this article which includes all the remaining payroll periods in 2015 not covered in previous articles.

A total of 45-time cards are included in this final series, and just as we saw in practically every other time card, the math just doesn’t add up.

If you are new to our Time Card Tuesday series we urge you to catch up by reading the first 15 parts of this series (here).

As pointed out in every article, it is abundantly clear, whoever was managing payroll has some explaining to do.

The payroll record points to 194.31 hours of overtime that paid out $8,743.95.

Of that time, bad math appears to have accounted for an extra 51.61 hours, netting an extra $2,322.50 in overtime pay.

The payroll record points to 1,463.85 hours of regular time that paid out $43,915.5.

Of that time, bad math appears to have accounted for an extra 50.83 hours netting an extra $1,525.00 in regular time.

With extra overtime and regular time amounting to $3,847.50 during the remaining 2015 payroll, the running total of extra pay from questionable time card entries now appears to be $27,336.61.

Not a bad revenue stream for less than 3 years of time cards.

To date, we have been unable to confirm if the Appellate Prosecutor is moving forward with any investigation on any of the time card discrepancies.

Considering this 16 part series has exposed an alleged $27,336.61 of extra pay from time card discrepancies, we find it hard to imagine this matter being ignored by those in a position to ensure accountability, but then again, this is Illinois.

Stay tuned for more on Algonquin Township and the closed case of alleged extortion.
