  1. Who was in charge of the golf cart?

Who was in charge and responsible for the young persons on the golf cart?

What is the age and license requirements for operating a golf cart?

Are there license requirements, even on private property, for operating a golf cart?

Should a “golf cart” by definition of function be strictly limited to use on golf courses?

So many questions here as to what went wrong.

  2. “Alcohol or drug use are not a factor in this incident.”

    Really?

How can that be ruled out so quickly?

    Toxicology results take days.

Ok, so the kid probably wasn’t coked to the gills or roaring drunk, but how can the keystone kops ever issue such a definitive, categorical statement with ZERO evidence?

    Ans: They can’t!

  3. I was driving in Lake County the other day and a golf cart with a few senior citizens pulled out of a strip mall driveway in front of me and continued down the road at ~15 MPH.

    Speed limit there is 30.

I followed at a safe distance as it was a no-passing zone.

Someone was tailgating me and when the golf cart turned off 1/4 mile later the tailgater dropped way back when he saw why I was going so slow.

  4. I don’t think there is any licensing requirement or age limit for driving a car or any other motor vehicle on private property in Illinois.

There is a potential child endangerment charge and some huge civil liability here though.

  5. Karen bred is a do-gooder report everything whiner.

Problem with that stance is YOU CANNOT LEGISLATE STUPIDITY.

Please stop with all the judgment calls.

  6. Let’s hope that the little child is going to make a full recovery as that’s the most important issue here!
