Oak Park Perhaps First Chicago Suburb Forced to Cope with Illegals

The Chicago Tribune reports on one of Chicago’s closest suburbs finding itself with one hundred new residents, migrants re-locating from Chicago seeking warm shelter.

The money allocated so far is $150,000 in city recources, plus another $150,000 from a grant from unidentified sources.

While the Village Board’s vote was unanimous, one Trustee expressed concern:

From the Fire Chief:

A Lutheran and a Cathoic Church are providing housing and other services.

  1. It’s good to see these liberal virtue-signaling enclaves doing so well.

Umm Gov. Abbott? May I make a suggestion of where to send another 5,000?

  2. LOL DJ. The highly educated in the Chicago wards are fighting letting the voters decide if they want Chiraq to be a sanctuary city while the Uber progressive Johnson goes to DC for handouts to the tune of 5b. As I constantly say.

Politicians create the problems then turn to the taxpayers to fund the solution to the problem they created.

    Wash Rinse Repeat.

  3. Cal, don’t play dumb.

The ‘grant’ is just more $$$$ fleeced from taxpayers.

  4. I’m a Democrat now chaining to independent.

The governor of Illinois and mayor of Chicago will not get my vote next election.

This immigration has got to .

If it takes a republican to get them out of here.

    Then I will vote republican.

We have to many citizens in America that need the services that they are providing to the immergrents.
