Former Cook County Circuit Court Judge Patricia Martin has been indicted on seven felony counts of theft, money laundering and financial exploitation of an elderly person, the Chicago Tribune reports.
She was a top judge, the presiding over the Child Protection Division of Cook County Circuit Court.
Martin has now decamped to Missouri.
Who is she accused of defrauding?
A man I was privileged to meet on Paul Caprio’s 2013 Family PAC cruises–Tuskegee Airman O. Lawron Wilkerson.
The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission wrote she stole $246,203.80.
Wilderson died at age 97 last Fevruary.
