Allen Skillicorn Takes House Seat for Second Time

A press release from State Rep. Allen Skillicorn:

Skillicorn Begins Second-Term in Illinois House

SPRINGFIELD – Today, State Representatives Allen Skillicorn (R-East Dundee) took the oath of office for his second-term to represent the 66th District in the Illinois House of Representatives.

“I want to thank the people of the 66th District for again entrusting me to represent you in Springfield,” said Skillicorn. “Illinois government is broken, but when we the people work together we can affect change.

“Our recent success to defeat a massive motor fuel tax hike in the waning moments of the 100th General Assembly that appeared to be a sure thing just a month again is proof of that.

“If the Governor-Elect holds to his word to work in a bipartisan manner, then I am optimistic we can find common ground to tackle issues like non-partisan redistricting, crippling pension debt and serious property tax reform to stop the exodus of people and businesses from our state.”
