Jack Franks’ Proposed Rule Changes Still Not Posted

At 10:55 Monday a notice was sent out announcing the 11 AM Wednesday  meeting of the newly-appointed Temporary Rules Committee.

It is now 9:37AM on Tuesday and what is to be considered at the Wednesday meeing in a bit over 24 hours still has not been made available to the public on the McHenry County web site.

Here’s what one still sees when one clicks on “Agenda Packet:”

Only the Agenda shows up on the McHenry County web site when one clicks on "Agenda Packet" for the Wednesday meeting of the Temporary Rules Committee.

Of possible interest is that newly-elected County Board Chairman Jack Franks’ photo has replaced that of Joe Gottemoller, as you can see below:

Besides the fact that Jack Franks' photo has been posted on the County website before the new Rules he wants adopted, read what is at the bottom of this page. I don't know if it is new.

At the bottom of the page is the following:

“The primary purpose of the County Board is to establish the various budgets of the county funds and adopt ordinances and rules pertaining to the management and business of the county departments.”

  1. Just read a piece at NWH.

Big issues for Franks are apparently his bringing in lots of federal and state dollars.

    Wow!

    He is really stupid.

I certainly hope that our board memers see this as a complete useless waste of everyone’s time.

Article also stated that Franks is real big on widening Randall Road and an interchange at Interstate 90.

Two more useless money wasters that no one can afford.

    We all are AGAINST this.

We fought tooth and nail to keep this type of elitist money wasting crap out.

    Heads up board members.

No one wants this Agenda 21 style of governance.

Our board members need to get real smart real fast.

  2. Learn about the Rules Committee that State House Speaker Michael Madigan controls.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++

Jack Franks was a State Representative 63rd District for 9 terms (18 years).

For 18 years Democrat Jack Franks learned how Democrat Michael Madigan used the House Rules committee to the advantage of Michael Madigan.

Michael Madigan is the most powerful politician in Illinois.

Jack Franks wants to be the most powerful politician in McHenry County.

The Rules Committee would help Jack Franks gain power and control.

The voters should be presented with how the board current operates, and how the board would operate with the formation of a Rules Committee.

  3. Beware the strings which come with the Federal and State dollars.

As to the Rt. 90 / 23 interchange; if my family and I owned millions of dollars in property out that way, I think it might be a great way to get a lot richer a lot quicker.

Say goodbye to what’s left of McHenry County’s rural lifestyle.

  4. Donald Trump is proposing that more Federal money be spent on infrastructure, and if successful, that would mean more money to McHenry County for infrastructure, irregardless who is County Board chair.

The interchange at State Route 23 & Interstate 90 is moving forward and would have moved forward irregardless who is County Board chair.

Randall Road is a bottleneck right now.

The fastest way from Interstate 90 to a northerly destination on Randall Road during rush hour is often to avoid Randall Road (depending of course on the distance from source to destination).

  5. The McHenry County Board Temporary Rules Committee falls under the classification of an Ad Hoc Committee.

The most recent version of the McHenry County Board Rules, revised July 7, 2015, states:

“The Chairman of the County Board shall have the power to establish ad hoc committees for special projects.

Such committees will exist for the life of the project.”

Should the Rules Committee be allowed to be classified as a “special project?”

When will the public be allowed to make comments to the County Board about the “Temporary Rules Committee.”

  6. They could come to the meeting for the committee and make public comment although the agenda doesn’t list that.

  7. The fastest way to get Agenda 21 policies is to go the way you suggest, Mark.

They are taking over our county and you still don’t see the forest for the trees!

What did that guy in Turnberry say?

    “You were warned!”

    Maybe he was actually prophetic!
