Dundee Township Supervisor Arin Thrower First Illinois Candidate to Receive Financial Support from Lauf PAC

A first for nominee Catalina Lauf (R, Woodstock).

Dundee Township Supervisor Arin Thrower (R, West Dundee) was the first Illinois candidate recipient of a financial contribution from Lauf’s Defense of Freedom PAC, according to just-released Federal Elections Commission (FEC) quarterly report for Lauf’s PAC.

The June 14 contribution of $500 from Lauf’s PAC to Thrower is the first time Lauf has contributed financially to an Illinois candidate from her PAC, which she formally launched in late 2020 and has contributed to multiple out-of-state congressional and state candidates, but none from Illinois.

The PAC reported cash-on-hand on June 30 of $21,316.73 after raising negligible amount for the reporting period of April 1 through June 30.

It should be noted, the 66th Representative District has very little overlap with the 11th Congressional District, with all or parts of 5 precincts within IL-11: Grafton 2, 3, 7, 31 and portion of Nunda 17 (southwest of train station).

From the desk of John Lopez: I’m impressed.

Lauf supporting an Illinois candidate, with very little overlap with her district, now shows Lauf helping other Illinois Republicans, in spite of Thrower being unsuccessful in her state representative primary, finishing 69 votes behind nominee Connie Cain, according to unofficial returns.

Lauf’s growth has taken an important positive step forward.

  1. So she turned into a little rat after all!

I publicly apologize to Lopez who strove to warn us.

Lopez was right. I was dead wrong. She beguiled me somehow.
