Democrats Again Outshine Republicans at Algonquin’s Founders’ Days Parade – Conclusion

Yesterday I laid out the first part of Algonquin’s Fouinders’ Days Parade:

The first partisan entry was the Republican Party’s.

This elephant really was a partisan one.

Driving the truck was Glen Swanson with Maureen Huff riding shotgun.

Glem Swanson at the wheel next to Mureen Huff. Huff wears a tee shirt saying, “I love mean tweets.”
Grafton Township Republican Party Chairman Orville Brettman rode in front.
Algonquin Township Republican leader made a second appearance in the parade, this time giving away American Flags.

McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler is attending the National Association of Counties convention in Texas, butr he sent his banner.

Chris Yaeger, a former Algonquin Township Party Chairman, helps carry Buehler’s banner.

Algonquin lies in both Algonquin and Dundee Townships.

Dundee Township Republican Party contingent.

Behind the Republicans there was another elephant.

This little elephant was part of the Inspire Realty KellerWilliams entry.

The Democrats came next

Democrat Party Chair Kristina Zahorik can be seen on the lefthand side of the photo.

There was a pickup truck with flags.

Besides the flag, the Democrats donkey is shown on the side of the truck. Ness signs can be seen behind.
The woman in front has a small sign saying, “Arms are for hugging, not arming ouir children.”
The man in front is supporting McHenry County Board member Gloria Van Hof.
The boy’s tee shirt says, “Students Demand Action.” There is a sign supporting the reelection of Kane County Board Chair Corinne Pierog. Repujblicans don’t seem to have fielded an opponent.
Democrats were handing out candy.
I think the blond woman is Corinne Pierog.
Dundee Township Democrats came nexr. A man wears a Bill Foster tee shirt.
A judcial campaign is evident in the Dundee Township signs.
The Circuit Coirt candidate Kimberly Digiovanni. The woman in blue carrying the banner has a badge saying, “Linda Davenport, Justice, Third District Appellate Court.”
In the front is appointwd Judge Kimberly Digiovanni. The women to her right advertise Wdgman for County Auditor and Barreiro for Circuit Clerk.

Hard to tell if the next contingent is part of the Democratic Party’s or separate.

The banner sayhs, “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.”
A vehicle carried candy.
Candy Moms.

Follwoing was an Algonquin Township Truck.

Algonquin Township dump truck.

Another governemnt entry came from Kane County Clerk John Cunningham.

Note that Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham does not have his name on this voter registration van.

There is not way that GenEx Construction is not going to get a mention in this article.

Cold water distributors of GenEx Construction water.

The company was handing out really cold bottles of water and the parade had been going on over an hour.

The Algonquin School District made a pitch for school bus drivers at the end of the parade.

School District 300 was seeking school bus drivers.

Bringing up the rear were Algonquin Village trucks into which barriers were being placed.

Village employees making Rouite 62 ready for fouir-lane traffic again.

Democrats Again Outshine Republicans at Algonquin’s Founders’ Days Parade – Conclusion — 9 Comments

  1. These government workers getting paid?

    Just curious.

    Appreciate your time.

  2. Our float, the Republican Party GOP, won Exceptional Community Group 2nd place in the 2023 Founders Day Parade and according to Parade Chairman Alan Kirk, he has never seen a political party win a place before in all these years (25 this years as chairman) that he can remember!

So way to go Republican Party GOP!

So respectfully speaking, I believe the Republican Party shined this day!

We had all ages represented including whole families, and we handed out lots of flags and candy!

We were having a blast and it showed!

    Algonquin Township

  3. National Association of Counties is a lobbying group just like TOI.

How come the Pink Alg Twh truck wasn’t used in the parade, Andrew must be disappointed.

  4. Ole orville wrapping his big fat body in the American flag…. big lie. He’s aa anti-American as most terrorist.

  5. ‘A vehicle carried candy.’ It looks like Kenneally was participating driving the vehicle after all. Looks like he has more hair though.

  6. Both the Democrat and Republican Parties should be carrying side-walk to side-walk Abolish Township Government banners.

    Forget the candy!

  7. Govt owned vehicles should not be wasting taxpayer dollars to be in parades and govt employees should not be paid to be in parades!

The scary clown driving the Democrat vehicle is such so aprapo. Extra points for perfect casting if it’s a tranny groomer or pedophile!

  8. So the Democrats messages were:
“We’re gonna trample your 2nd Amendment rights”
    “we’re proud of gays?”
Not one t-shirt, or sign or mention showing pride of their current Democrat President. LOL
    GOT IT!
