After my request that candidates send me parade pictures (photos of other political events are invited as well), District 4 McHenry County Board candidate Jeff Thirtyacre sent three from the Spring Grove 4th of July Parade.

Signs for candidates running on the Democratic Party ticket were displayed on this trailer in the Spring Grove Independence Day Parade. Mike Mahon for Sheriff, Jeff Thirtyacre for County Board, Pat Quinn for Governor, Miller for Comptroller and a congressional candidate not running locally named George Gaulrapp.

First was one of a trailer with posters for Democratic Party candidates.

Look closely on the righthand side of this picture and you will see the donkey is following "The Yellow Brick Road."

Next was one of what looks like a paper mache donkey perched on top of the cab of a red pick-up truck.
